Slow food VS. Fast Food
When I wake up I always drink a Hershey chocolate mil. Then I wait till 11 o´clock to eat again at school. For lunch I eat a sandwich and drink a bottle of water. Although the sandwich is the most common lunch, I don’t get sick of them because my mother prepares them with different things. One day it can have chicken, another day steak, or maybe ‘al pastor’ steak.
For the main meal I try to eat something balanced, such as meat with rice, two pieces of chicken, spaghetti, soup and sometimes pizza when my mother doesn’t have time to cook.
Most of the times, I don’t really care about how many calories I consume for each thing I eat, however I assume that I should do it to care my body. We usually eat at home. It’s very rare that we go to eat somewhere else, but I’m not mad about it because I like a lot my mom’s cooking.
Finally, for dinner I eat a bowl of cereals or a slice of bread with a glass of milk, but sometimes when we don’t eat well in the meal, we ask a pizza or tacos al pastor.
Well, I can say that I never eat fast food because it’d be a lie, but I think that we should combine these two different kinds of food. First, when we eat at a fast food restaurant we support the economy because they are also a source of employment, the same for the slow food restaurants. But we mustn’t let that the slow food disappear because it’s part of our culture.

Food service at my school
La Salle is considered one of the best schools of Guerrero, if not the best, but not for the meals that they offer in their cafeterias. The quality of the food is very poor because no one examines it. Lately, it has been getting worse, but that’s not a reason to stop increasing the prizes. Those who don’t bring something cooked from home have the necessity to buy there if they’re too lazy to walk to the Elementary school where you can buy better food. Unfortunately, I have had the misfortune of eating there and I feel happy of being alive to tell about it. It’s something that I would prefer not to remember, but I can say that I don’t have the desire to eat there again. I prefer to eat something cooked by mom.

MY EDUCATION
The education begins at home, even before going to school. The education we receive at home will have influence on our habits and behavior during the rest of our lives. My parents gave me a great education before entering to Kinder Garten.
I entered to Kinder Garten when I was 4 years old. It was a school called Astro Center. Here, I learnt to socialize with other people. That was a new experience for me. Fortunately, I made a friend as soon as I entered there. I learnt what a friendship means too. One of the most important things I learned here was that I had overcome being away from my parents.
At the age of 6, I began studying the elementary school at La Salle. Everything there was new for me. I had never seen a building so huge, and so many people. Here, I learnt a lot about Math, Civics, Spanish, English, etc. On the other hand, I began to be more responsible with my homework, so I learnt discipline.
Since La Salle is a religious school, I learnt a lot about Jesus Christ. They also taught me more values, and I learnt how to have many friends.
Then, I entered to the High School. New students came to this school so it made the school year a little more interesting. We began to work in teams for interdisciplinary projects. This was a little difficult because we weren’t organized, but we could overcome this situation with responsibility. During the High School I won some academic contests so I knew how it feels to win something.
Now, I’m studying third year of College. I’m more mature, and I have to look for more goals, for example I have to be very conscious in order to take a good decision about choosing a career, because this decision can only be taken once in my whole life and my future depends on it.

CHARITABLE GIVING
Nowadays, many wealthy people decide to donate part of their fortune to charity, but what-s the reason they give this money?
Sometime, altruism isn’t the only reason for giving. Some people look for personal interests such as giving back part of the money they should pay in taxes or gaining publicity to influence he world around them. For example, Carlos Slim donate a lot of money to support helping programs for poor people, but who can tell us that he pays all his taxes? However, the favorable publicity we watch on TV makes the Mexican society believe that he is a great person. He’s the richest man of the world after all.
On the other hand, there’re people who find put other reasons to donate, for example, Gladys Holm who decided to donate money for philanthropic causes because a hospital saved the life of her friend’s daughter. There’re many other examples like this around the world that make this world a better world.
There are other important reasons why people donate, for example, the successful graduates donate to their universities to widen educational opportunities for other students, religious organizations that help orphan children.
We live in a world that’s dying little by little, but it’s asking everybody to work together and save it. All the wealthy people should be sensitive with what’s happening around them so they feel the necessity of donating.

PHILANTROPHY
There’s a nice amount of wealthy people in the world, but who is willing to donate part of his fortune to charity? This is a question that can only be answer by these people; however, it’s known that most of this people would refuse according to what’s happening in the world.
I would like to talk about the case of Bill Gates, president of Microsoft Company, who donated half of his fortune to support helping programs to the poor countries. This shows his feeling over the rest of the people.
Other cases, like this, occur around the world but it’s true that they are few. People like Gates prefer to give some of their money that they won’t use at all to benefit other causes, such as building schools, hospitals, libraries, etc. I can mention other philanthropist like Carlos Slim, and Warren Buffet.
In the other hand, the money donated by these people, sometimes, it’s not used the way it should by the organizations, or the poor people are not those who get benefits from it. This should be better regulated, just like Carlos Slim did, instead of donating the half of his fortune, he spend annually more than 5 thousand million dollars in social programs, regulated by Telmex and Fundación Carlos Slim. With these programs, he helps more than 165 thousand teenagers of the poor mexican families.
We want to believe that all this is true, because sometimes the media make us believe things that are not true. Only those poor families know the truth.
In conclusion, philanthropy is a nice activity that should be practiced by all the multimillionaire people around the world because, maybe that money they have could be used by other people who really need it.
